A BOLD VISION FOR OUR UNION

Our slate is a group of graduate workers at MIT running for union office for this coming year because we are dedicated to winning the strongest second contract possible. To win, our union needs the mass participation of graduate workers at every step of the way – in rallies, townhalls, open bargaining, pickets, and a strike if necessary – to generate leverage at the bargaining table to force concessions on members’ biggest workplace issues.

Our contract with MIT expires on May 31st, 2026 and is imminently up for renegotiation. This coming year, we as thousands of graduate workers across campus will have the opportunity to shape the future of MIT for both ourselves and for generations of grads to come.

We strive to build organized labor and democracy on our campus and through our union. As committed union organizers with a shared bold, progressive vision for the future of the academic industry, we aim to work together as a united body to represent thousands of grads at the bargaining table in the most effective way possible.
