Running for: Area Chief Steward, SA&P

I’m a first year MCP student in DUSP, and I’ve been a GSU steward since my first month here at MIT! As a steward, I have supported fellow graduate workers in my department in navigating their present concerns as well as working to make sure their concerns are addressed in our next contract. I am running on the BOLD slate for Area Chief Steward in the School of Architecture and Planning because I am committed to fostering mass collective participation, especially in the face of major struggles like the upcoming contract fight. As a masters student in a school that is majority masters’ students, I especially want to advocate for our grad workers in ways that account for differences in material circumstances between different program types. I seek to strategically foster strong union involvement in SA+P across shorter student turnovers. In addition, as an international student myself, I am particularly dedicated to increasing protections for our fellow international students and workers while fighting for a robust contract that benefits us all!
