Running for: Area Chief Steward, SoE & CoC

I’m a 2nd year PhD student and fellow in the Chemical Engineering department. When I joined our union, ChemE didn’t have an active steward team. The process of re-building that network connected me with my peers as we discussed our shared troubles and realized our potential to take collective action in response. Through this experience, I’ve seen how the priorities of the BOLD slate intentionally and tangibly serve student workers. In a time where MIT refuses to stand up for our interests or protect us from oppressive systems, this contract fight is an opportunity for us as students to step up and fight for each other. I’m eager to join in this work and stand up for my fellow students as an Area Chief Steward for the School of Engineering.
